Built on the
ground, not in an office
Green Core Turf Supplies is a Huddersfield based artificial grass business. We supply and fit premium astroturf for homes, gardens, schools, nurseries and businesses across West Yorkshire, and we supply trade customers who fit it themselves.
We are a young company, but not a green one. The business was set up by people who had already spent years on the tools, laying turf, digging bases and putting things right on other people's jobs. We started Green Core to do it our way: proper preparation, honest pricing and a finish that still looks right in five years.
That means we do not cut corners on the part nobody sees. The old surface comes out, the base is dug, levelled and compacted, and the edges are set before a single roll goes down. When the turf is laid it is cut in tight, seamed properly and brushed up, so you get a lawn that drains, sits flat and does not lift at the joins.
We work for anyone who needs it. A back garden that has turned to mud, a front lawn that is more moss than grass, a nursery playground that has to survive a hundred pairs of feet a day, or a landscaper who just needs the right size roll dropping off on Friday. Same standard, same price list, trade or public.
Most of our work still comes from word of mouth and customers who have had us back a second time. We are growing, we have the vans and the stock to take on bigger jobs, and we would rather earn the next one than chase it.

How a job runs
From first call to finished lawn

1 — Measure & quote
Send us the measurements or a photo of the space. We come back with a straight price, including the groundwork, and there is nothing added to it later.

2 — Strip out
Old turf, slabs, bark or tarmac comes up and goes away with us. Nothing gets buried and left for you to find.

3 — Base & edging
The ground is dug to depth, stone is laid, compacted and levelled, and timber or block edging is set so the lawn holds its shape.

4 — Underlay & turf
Weed membrane and, where it is needed, shockpad underlay goes down. Then the turf is rolled out, left to settle and set out the right way round so the pile all runs together.

5 — Cut, seam & secure
Cut in tight to every edge, joints seamed and glued so they disappear, then pinned and sanded where the job calls for it.

6 — Brush up and clear up
The pile is power brushed to stand it up, the site is swept, and we take the waste with us. You get the space back ready to use.
